The new Arena Football One (AF1) arena football league has reached a deal with the Vice TV cable network per a press release today from Vice. AF1 was included in a number of properties listed to air on Vice TV as part of the network’s shift to a sportscentric format.
The specific parameters of the deal were not yet announced though subsequent social media postings from multiple AF1 teams indicated that Vice would televise AF1 games as part of the arrangement. It isn’t known if Vice will also air any ancillary Arena Football One related programming in addition to games.
Vice TV is arguably best known for its Dark Side of the Ring television series, documenting various scandals and controversies associated with pro wrestling. The network is available in 45 million U.S. homes according to the latest estimate released last year, a lower number than CBS Sports Network which aired the AFL postseason last season.
