The start time for the Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders game Sunday, October 27 has been officially flexed to 4:25 pm EDT from its previous 1 pm start time with television coverage still set via CBS network. Jim Nantz & Tony Romo will call the game as the primary game of the day for CBS in the network’s late afternoon timeslot.
The coverage upgrade comes with both the Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears enjoying 4-2 starts under new rookie quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams respectively, the #2 & #1 picks in turn of this year’s NFL Draft. The Bears will stay 4-2 coming into the game off a bye while Washington would move to 5-2 with a win vs Carolina.
The timeslot switch for Bears/Commanders should also allow Washington, DC area CBS affiliate WUSA 9 to carry the Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns game at 1 pm EDT that day. The games had previously been designed for the same network timeslot with WUSA 9 required by rule to air the Commanders game over the Ravens game.
