A Coastal Flood Warning is now in effect Wednesday, September 25 to 9 am Thursday, September 26, 2024 including the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.
MARYLAND: Anne Arundel.

…COASTAL FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THURSDAY…
* WHAT…Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.
* WHERE…Shoreline in Anne Arundel County.
* WHEN…Until 9 AM EDT Thursday, especially around the time of high tide.
* IMPACTS…At 3.2 feet, water begins to approach businesses on Dock Street in Annapolis. The City Dock parking lot is flooded. Compromise Street is flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 1:22 AM and 12:44 PM.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
