* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of central, northern, and northwest Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Orange. In northern Virginia, Culpeper. In northwest Virginia, Madison.

* WHEN…Until 1145 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 544 AM EDT, the Robinson River at Locust Dale was in Minor flood stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
