A Flood Watch remains in effect to 6 pm Sunday, February 16, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

VIRGINIA: Augusta, Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: Grant, Pendleton.

…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON…

WHAT…Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible.

WHERE…Portions of western Virginia, including the following areas, Augusta and Highland and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas, Grant and Pendleton.

WHEN…Through this afternoon.

IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– The combination of 1 to 2 inches of rain, saturated ground, and the melting of recent snow pack may result in flooding.
– Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
