VIRGINIA: Shenandoah, Page, Blue Ridge.
WEST VIRGINIA: Hampshire, Morgan, Hardy.

* WHAT…Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29.

* WHERE…In Virginia, Central Virginia Blue Ridge and Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, and Page and Shenandoah Counties. In West Virginia, Hampshire, Hardy, and Morgan Counties.

* WHEN…Until 9 AM EDT this morning.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
