A Freeze Watch remains in effect from 2 am to 9 am Wednesday, October 16, 2024 including the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.

VIRGINIA: Augusta, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Page.

* WHAT…Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 possible.

* WHERE…Page, Shenandoah, Augusta, and Rockingham Counties.

* WHEN…From late tonight through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
