‍A Heat Advisory remains in effect to 8 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2024 including the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.
‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ 

VIRGINIA: Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren, Clarke.
WEST VIRGINIA: Hampshire, Hardy, eastern Grant.

‍…HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING…

* WHAT…Heat index values around 100.

* WHERE…In Virginia, Clarke, Frederick VA, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties. In West Virginia, Eastern Grant, Hampshire, and Hardy Counties.

* WHEN…Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose pfitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
