MARYLAND: western Allegany.
VIRGINIA: western Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Mineral, western Pendleton.

  • WHAT…West winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.
  • WHERE…In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany County. In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia, Western Grant, Western Mineral, and Western Pendleton Counties.
  • WHEN…Until 1 AM EST Thursday.
  • IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
