The James Madison Dukes continued being represented among teams receiving votes in the college football USA Today FBS coaches poll after enjoying a bye week. James Madison again received only a single voting point in the coaches poll to now tie for an unofficial 45th place.
No D.C. area team received votes in the Associated Press poll this week for the third straight week not did any other area team receive votes in the coaches poll. The only team from the D.C./Maryland/Virginia region to receive votes was again Liberty at an unofficial 36rd in the Associated Press poll and an unofficial tie for 40th with the coaches.
The undefeated James Madison will get its toughest challenge of the young season this week matched at also undefeated ACC power North Carolina. Other notable games involving D.C. area teams this week include Maryland hosting FCS #5 Villanova, Virginia Tech hosting Rutgers and Virginia at Coastal Carolina.
