Men’s soccer poll: JMU 10th, Maryland rises to 12th

 
The James Madison Dukes maintained their 10th place position in this week’s men’s college soccer poll, one week after reaching the top ten. Additionally, the Maryland Terrapins skyrocketed up seven places to 12th and the George Mason Patriots officially reentered the poll in 20th. Virginia Tech dropped two places to the 19th spot.

The Dukes stayed 10th in the country off a 5-0 home win vs Radford while its game at Georgia Southern last Saturday was postponed due to Hurricane Helene. James Madison will next a huge matchup this Friday at Sun Belt rival & #5 ranked Marshall. Meanwhile, Maryland rode the strength of a 2-1 win at Northwestern to its improved standing.

The George Mason Patriots regained their official poll standing off home wins against William & Mary 1-0 and Atlantic 10 rival George Washington 5-2 while the Virginia Tech Hokies took a hit in a 2-0 loss hosting #1 ranked Pittsburgh in a game delayed a day again due to Hurricane Helene.
