Monumental Sports Network pulled from Fubo

‍

‍
Monumental Sports Network, the regional network home of the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards & Washington Mystics, has been officially pulled from the Fubo streaming platform as of last Saturday night. Monumental issued a statement claiming that Fubo had rejected flat rate proposals that other providers had accepted.
‍

The severing of ties comes in the middle of the Washington Mystics season, days before a scheduled telecast of the Mystics at the Indiana Fever with star Caitlin Clark. Monumental claimed as a result that Fubo wasn’t committed to women’s sports and that MSN wouldn’t have been pulled had the Capitals & Wizards been in season.

Aside from the Monumental-owned Washington Mystics basketball, Monumental Sports Network also airs games for the Washington Spirit pro soccer team and the Old Glory DC pro rugby team during the summertime season. It is additionally airing the Calder Cup playoff run for minor league hockey’s Hershey Bears.
