A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from 11 am to 7 pm Wednesday, March 26, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
MARYLAND: Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Baltimore, Baltimore City, central/eastern Allegany, Montgomery, Howard, Harford.
VIRGINIA: Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren, Clarke, Madison, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fairfax, Arlington, Falls Church, Alexandria, Fauquier, Loudoun, northern Blue Ridge, Prince William, Manassas, Manassas Park.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, Pendleton.

…FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR NORTHERN VIRGINIA, CENTRAL MARYLAND, EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA, AND WASHINGTON DC…

TIMING…From 11 AM Wednesday morning through 7 PM Wednesday evening.

WINDS…Northwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts around 25 to 35 mph.

RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Around 15 to 30 percent, with the lowest values most likely in Virginia.

IMPACTS…The combination of dry conditions, low humidity, and strong gusty winds may result in favorable conditions for the rapid spread of fires.

FUEL MOISTURE…Falling to less than 10 percent.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions may occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
