D.C. United and iHeartMedia have renewed their radio rights deal for the upcoming 2025 MLS season with all games to air via iHeart’s WTSD 1190 AM radio, better known as iHeart Sports DC. The deal marks iHeart’s fourth consecutive season of carrying D.C. United radio broadcasts, the first one of which was a simulcast of then regional television calls.
Aside from the WTSD’s regular 1190 AM signal out of Leesburg, DCU games will also air via 101.1 HD2 for HD Radio listeners and via iHeart app streaming. D.C. United’s home game radio broadcasts will again be simulcast via Apple TV MLS Season Pass as alternative game calls to Apple’s regular television announcers.
Longtime D.C. United and Washington Wizards voice Dave Johnson will return to call matches for D.C. United, marking his 30th consecutive season of doing so for either television or radio. Bruce Murray will again join Johnson as the color commentator for DCU’s radio broadcasts in 2025. D.C. United will open its campaign this Saturday at Audi Field, hosting Toronto FC at 7:30 pm EST.
