Virginia Tech enters men’s soccer poll at 17th place

The Virginia Tech Hokies officially entered the men’s college soccer coaches poll this week in 17th place while the Georgetown Hoyas fell eleven spots to barely remain in the poll in 25th. The George Mason Patriots continued receiving polling support tied for an unofficial 30th place.

Virginia Tech scored two more out of conference wins last week to remain undefeated at 4-0-1, defeating Presbyterian 2-1 and routing Furman. Georgetown failed to garner a win though with the Hoyas first tying Cornell at home 2-2 then being upset on Monday at James Madison, 1-0.

The George Mason Patriots continued to impress outside the official polling ranks, scoring home wins over Bucknell 1-0 and Howard 4-3. The Sun Belt squad remain undefeated on the young season at 4-0 heading into a road matchup Tuesday at UNC Wilmington.
