A Wind Advisory remains in effect to 11 pm Friday, September 27, 2024 including the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Garrett, western Allegany.
VIRGINIA: Augusta, Highland, Blue Ridge.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Mineral, Pendleton.

…WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING…

* WHAT…East winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of western Maryland, central, northwest, and western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

* WHEN…Until 11 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
