A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect Monday, January 6 to 6 am Tuesday, January 7, 2025 including the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Garrett, western Allegany.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Mineral.

…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST TUESDAY…

  • WHAT…Additional snow accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
  • WHERE…In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany and Garrett Counties. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Mineral Counties.
  • WHEN…Until 6 AM EST Tuesday.
  • IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
