…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING…
…WINTER STORM WARNING HAS EXPIRED…
- WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 9 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.
- WHERE…In Maryland, Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.
- WHEN…From Friday morning through Saturday morning.
- IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow is expected to overspread the area early Friday morning. The heaviest and steadiest snow, along with potential squalls, is likely through Friday afternoon. Snow showers will continue overnight into Saturday morning.
