A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 10 pm Sunday, January 5 through Monday, January 6 to 1 am Tuesday, January 7, 2025 including the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Cecil, Howard, Harford.

  • WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 5 inches or greater and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch possible. A localized band with up to 10 inches of snow is possible if heavy banding sets up this far north.
  • WHERE…Portions of central, north central, northeast, and northern Maryland.
  • WHEN…From Sunday evening through late Monday night.
  • IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
