A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect Wednesday, January 1 to 1 am Thursday, January 2, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: western Allegany.
VIRGINIA: western Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Mineral.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST THURSDAY…

WHAT…Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

WHERE…In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany County. In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia, Western Mineral County.

WHEN…Until 1 AM EST Thursday.

IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow squalls will continue into the overnight. Conditions may change quickly over short distances.
