A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect Saturday, January 11 to 1 am Sunday, January 12, 2025 for the following Washington, DC region jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Garrett.
VIRGINIA: western Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Pendleton.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SUNDAY…

  • WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Localized amounts of up to 6 inches are possible along the higher ridges. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • WHERE…In Maryland, Garrett County. In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.
  • WHEN…Until 1 AM EST Sunday.
  • IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Upslope snow showers persist through the day and into the first half of tonight. Areas of blowing snow are likely which could result in significant drifting of snow, impacting travel.
